About the Program

Malaysian Re offers graduates the chance to join the exciting world of a specialised financial services organisation. We are looking for graduates with strong interpersonal skills and record of academic excellence, who are eager to learn and broaden their knowledge and expertise. You have a Bachelor or Masters degree, complemented with initial professional experience gained in internships – we invite you to apply to our Malaysian Re’s Graduate Program 2023.

The programme offers you the opportunity to join the dynamic, fast-moving world of a leading reinsurance organisation. Over a 24-month period, you will receive on-and-off-the-job training, including job rotations that provides the experience of working across different business units. In this intensive 24-month long learning experience, you will rotate through various departments within Malaysian Re.

Introduction to Departments

The journey starts in one of our key departments: Retrocession & Claim, Technical Modelling, Underwriting and Actuarial. You will gain experience in the core department and more exposure to Underwriting by rotating to a different department every 4 - 6 months.

You will also get exposure to our business support departments: Market Services, Finance, Business Development, Information System and Risk Management. You will gain experience in 3 out of these 5 departments – by rotating to a different department every 4 months.

The rotations will give you exposure to various tasks and team cultures and allow you to acquire new skills. You will also have a personal “buddy” and a mentor to help you on your journey throughout the programme.
