Hiring:

1. Legal Manager

Provide day-to-day legal support to the relevant stakeholders on a wide range of general corporate and commercial matters
Provide sound and strategic legal advice on commercial matters including development and launch of new products and services, confidential information, privacy related matters, corporate policies, commercial disputes and litigation management
Advise, draft, review and negotiate contracts and legal documents with third parties including marketing agreements, service agreements, suppliers’ agreements, NDAs, tenancy agreements etc
Manage general corporate matters including drafting/reviewing resolutions, annual filings etc
Liaise with our company secretary on general company act requirements and filings
Instruct Liaise with external legal counsels 
Develop and maintain precedent agreements and relevant terms and conditions
Provide support to our People Services team on employment related issues and disputes
Keep abreast of the development of relevant acts/policies that are relevant to the business
Manage, lead and train and mentor juniors in the team
Collaborate with our legal teams in APAC and Berlin to ensure standardisation and alignment on legal matters
 

Bachelor’s Degree in law from an accredited university
Minimum of 5 years working experience in the legal industry
Background in commercial law with reputable law firms or as an in-house counsel, ideally with e-commerce or internet companies
Experience in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, startup/technology environments will be an advantage
Commercially astute, highly-driven and pragmatic, with strong influencing and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and spoken English and Malay, fluent in written and spoken mandarin is a plus
Able to work independently
Able to handle multiple priorities and assignments in a time pressure environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders is a must. Experience working with persons from varied cultural backgrounds is advantageous.
