Dear all connections,

HICOM Automotive, Pekan Pahang is currently looking for the candidate of Head of Department, Procurement and Vendor Development.

SCOPE AND AUTHORITY: 

1. To comply customer requirement, company procedure, legal requirement / regulatory and compliance of company.

2. To comply ISO requirement such as IATF 16949, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001/ISO 45001 etc.

3. To assist and support HODiv in planning, organizing and controlling of the Procurement & Vendor Development (PVD) on daily basis.

4. As the 1st Level Appraiser for the Performance Management System (PMS) of respective direct reports prior to endorsement by Head of Division.

 

JOB AND RESPONSIBILITY:

1. Responsible to ensure all issuance of Purchase Order (PO) are comply with Company Procedure.

2. Responsible and monitor PR and Delivery Instruction (DI) status that includes produce ageing report.

3. To ensure implementation of cost reduction/saving initiatives that includes negotiation, benchmarking, getting alternative supplier/sourcing and cost analysis for purchase activities.

4. Report daily routine and activities action plan to Head of Company

5. Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers, clients, and team.

6. To execute tender exercise under CAPEX/Projects.

7. To manage and establish supplier profile and categorization which includes to resolve matters related to supplier delivery performance with related departments.

8. To ensure audit conducted as per plan and take appropriate actions when necessary.

9. To ensure the 5S implementation and continuous improvement of the department.

10. To ensure safety compliance to OSHA and Emergency response.

11. Any other duties as instructed by Head of Company where appropriate.

2. Excellent communication and interaction skills

3. Tactful and resourceful in handling crisis situations

4. Analytical thinking and problem solving

5. Good health conditions

6. Willing to work extra hours.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum Bachelor in related field

2. Exposure in Manufacturing / Mechanical, those in Automotive is an added advantage.
