Job vacancy: Commercial Engineer

Requirement
·       Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business Administration and Management or related field.
·       Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in rotating equipment aftermarket sales preferably in oil and gas industry.
 
Skill / Attributes
·       Prior experience in aftermarket sales, commercial finance, contract negotiation and execution.
·       Strong analytical skills, proactive, resourceful, and sound business acumen.
·       Knowledge of how transactions affect the business model for JV company.
·       Highly organized, excellent problem solver, and strong attention to details.
·       Ability to manage time and function effectively with changing priorities and deadline.
·       Strong interpersonal skills – successful candidate will communicate effectively, possess strong writing skills with good presentation skills.
·       Ability to work within cross-cultural environment for the need to liaise with technical partners and vendors located globally.
·       Computer literate with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, other Microsoft Office packages, and SAP.
·       Ability to travel when necessary.


Main Responsibilities:
·       Preparation of commercial and technical proposals based on the scope of works outlined by ITO Sales Engineers/ Managers and customers.
·       Coordinate proposal preparation by facilitating engagement with technical partners and vendors.
·       Review the proposal received by technical partners and vendors. To highlight any inaccuracies in their proposal and ensure correct details are received.
·       Attend customers’ request for proposal in timely manner. Response on proposal preparation shall be within the acceptable timeline as per KPI.
·       Take lead on pricing formulation as per the pricing guideline and facilitate draft commercial review with internal stakeholders.
·       Interface with ITO Sales Team and OTR for matters related to commercial.
·       Familiarize with customers’ commercial system (eg. Ariba, Smart GEP, SAP) in order to receive and respond to RFQ/RFP/ITB/ITT.
·       Review the PO received from customer and ensuring correct details are included.
·       Perform handover to OTR upon receipt of correct PO from customer within acceptable timeline as per KPI.
·       Sole focal point for ITO tracker and perform weekly tracker update based on input from ITO Sales Engineers / Managers.
·       Adhere strictly to compliance guideline on commercial matters.

• Min. of 8 years relevant experience in new rotating sales in Industrial Power Generation Industry, Gas Turbine Rotating Equipment or related
• Prior experience in new equipment sales, commercial finance, contract negotiation and execution.
• Proficient in English, computer literate with good oral and written communication skills
• Possesses good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Resourceful/analytical with strong leadership qualities

·The Sales Manager role is a critical customer facing role within SBH, the focal point of contact with SBH customers for all initiative projects including digital & NOVA and scopes beyond LTSA:
·Owns and drives the digital & Nova initiatives to close pipeline orders
·Holds the responsibility to ensure that the sales & commercial aspects meets all the requirements in the contract/Invitation To Bid (ITB)/ Request for Proposal (RFP)
·Possesses strong analytic and problem- solving skills; good interpersonal and organizational skills; and Computer skills.
·Ability to travel when necessary

Main Responsibilities:
·Lead and drive growth initiatives business together with the Technical Sales PIC.
·Lead the Sales and Commercial teams to ensure the approved business plan achieved.
·Responsible to close the orders for initiative sales in Oil & Gas, Industrial Power Generation and other businesses. This includes establish and expand Industrial Power Generation customer database.
·Responsible to build contracting strategy for a project to ensure double digit margin profitability at minimum.
·Responsible for all aspects of bidding process for both core business and initiatives beyond core business, Gas Turbine Maintenance Services.
·Lead the deal review process to ensure that all technical risk points, risk mitigation, and business risk acceptance levels are properly incorporated in the development of the scope, cost and proposal wording both during contract and business negotiation for core and growth initiative business
·Work directly with customers to understand their processes and develop the best solutions for their requirements
·Work with all stakeholders to professionally represent the company, gather data, and ask the right questions to define a project
·Coordinate the output of proposals to ensure the production schedule dates are met and that a quality proposal is issued to the customer. Accuracy is essential to ensure proposal are correct and in line with contract
·Meet yearly order budget for company, proposal timeliness, cycle time, hit Rate/Win Rate and project profitability
·Look and materialize new opportunities in the event the order budgeted is not met by working closely with all stakeholders
