3) Senior Executive, Project Evaluation

Responsible for Project Evaluation consisting of creating and validating Financial Models for all BD projects during various project stages, which includes project initiation, feasibility studies, concept select & basis of design (Pre-FEED), and front-end engineering design (FEED), and engineering procurement construction commissioning (EPCC).

Responsibilities:

Compile, update, and ensure compliance to the economic assumptions which are provided by Corporate Strategy.

Stay abreast, compile, and update macro-economic parameters within Malaysia such as prices, revenue structure, cost structure, cost escalation rates, taxation, and fiscal terms which are used in the financial models.

Prepare financial / economics analysis components for monthly / quarterly / year-end / long-term plans / reports, impairment tests, and corporate planning templates and other key business decisions.

Ensure alignment to corporate strategies and management directives.

Administrative roles within the department particularly performance planning & review, annual budget exercise, resource planning, training plan, training of junior / trainees and any employees assigned to the department.

Assist the Project Monitoring team in relevant department tasks.

Participate in the Company and Division’s initiatives, promotions, and supporting activities.

Financial Model Role:

Actively build, maintain, modify, and/or improve financial models and other ad-hoc project economics / commercial evaluations / discounted cash flow analysis through proactive facilitation and/or liaison with Special Project departments.

Incorporate Incentive-Based Regulation (IBR) terms, Third Part Access (TPA) codes and other fiscal concepts.

Prepare variance analysis on uncertainties within economic assumptions, technical inputs, and residual project risks.

Conduct deterministic sensitivity analyses and scenario cases to rationalize economic value drivers.

Incorporate, resolve, maintain and enhance financial models using macro, visual basic, script automation, and other graphical illustration required by Special Projects.

Provide financial/commercial insights and recommendations supported by economic analysis.

Commercial Peer Review Role:

Validate and consolidate all commercial parameters and pertinent data for the financial model.

Proof-read relevant stage and gate reports for all Special Projects.

Examine and evaluate the effectiveness of financial models to reflect current or potential financial and economic impact or to meet specific business needs or management requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor or Master Degree of Economics, Finance, Business, or Engineering.

Training in standalone and incremental Financial Models, Commercial Analysis, and/or Project Economics.

Possess 1 year of working experience with financial models.

Prior experience in project setting at Feasibility, Due-diligence, Pre-FEED, FEED and/or EPCC stage is highly desirable.

Prior experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, and/or Petrochemical facility is advantageous.

Understanding of macro-economic parameters, discounted cashflow analysis, financial data requirements, and validation at various project stages.

Comprehension and demonstrable skills in designing, building, running, and reviewing financial models, and incorporating deterministic sensitivity analysis.

Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including data and financial functions, Visual Basic, automation script.

Sound business knowledge and acumen, in particular knowledge of gas and energy business, drivers, and key financial reporting and accounting concepts.

Presentation skills with sound experience in MS PowerPoint.

Good organizational and interpersonal skills through competence in oral and written English communication.
